Castlevania: Curse of Darkness

An interesting attempt at a 3D Metroidvania. The gameplay is definitely awkward at times, but with lots of interesting bits, and, well, so is the story. I love Saint Germain so much and he needs to come back someday.

Love the art style and ost of this game, but everything else is pretty bad. The level design is bland; it dominantly features small, linear corridors with braindead enemy ai that don't even attack you at times. Mechanically, the game feels like Musou garbage with combos that are somehow even more limited with equally as stiff movement options. Monster summons are a neat concept but all they do is just use generic attacks on enemies, adding nothing mechanically interesting
