Dead or Alive

1996
Fighting
Capitalizing on the success of Sega's Virtua Fighter fighting game series at the time, Dead or Alive takes influence from Virtua Fighter while adding unique gameplay elements of its own. The game also attracted attention for its presentation, which was more provocative than other mainstream 3D fighting games at the time. (wikipedia.org)

We all know that DOA is only relevant because of the "DOA jiggle", an algorithm that shook the world. I had a Japanese Sega Saturn version, which was apparently too jiggly for Western audiences. And yes, it was distracting enough for a 12-year-old boy to hinder my playing it.
