Dishonored... with guns! Despite its numerous flaws, such as an overlong, stifling tutorial, grating dialogue (I switched to Japanese audio to make it bearable), lack of enemy variety (including the bosses), it was a mostly fun experience once settled in, with there being always something to do or explore every loop.

Becomes a bit less engaging once you have your ideal loadout fully infused and the rewards become less enticing, but assembling that arsenal was extremely gratifying. Arkane does such a good job of populating the locations in their games with intricate secrets and subplots. I love how much of the game is left up to you to figure out, and finally cracking the perfect loop to complete the game is satisfying.

Just another generic gimicky first-person shooter, but the gimick wasn't fun enough to hold my attention for long.

The only thing missing is an AI which prevents the game from becoming a masterpiece.
