A weird game considering that a lot of ideas from its original inception as a RE title is still there, but a solid title nonetheless. Aspects like the platforming and the weird first-person swimming were pretty crappy, but the combat (as simple as it was back then) is still exciting, especially as the game has an understanding of what good difficulty is. The game is comparatively a lot cheesier than its sequels, but the ham-fisted dialog is still enjoyable in its own charming way.

probably hasn't aged that well, but it birthed an entire genre and was outrageously fun for the time. not the strongest installment in its series, but very entertaining by any standard. the voice acting is hilariously bad.

An influential take on making a more technically complicated and challenging 3D beat-em-up that still moves quickly, with plenty of cheesy flair in the presentation. Can be very challenging if you want it to be, though forging through on the easy mode is very doable.
