A few things are true at once. It's a victim of culture war nonsense so some people's opinions are tainted. I'm not a Dragon Age fan but even I can tell that this is not a good DRAGON AGE game. But it's also not a bad video game, generally. When you're running around, exploring, hacking things, the game is fun. The story's fine. If you divorce it from Bioware's legacy, it's enjoyable, but it is a notable few steps down from their best work (but up from something like Anthem). I like it.

Technically an impressive release. If you value convenience over complexity and don't mind being held by the hand in every regard possible, Disney Age: Marveilguard could be for you. Bioware still has lots of talent, just not in the writing department. The story is beyond dull, and pervaded by this baseline non-logic that also has items' rarity increase by finding more of the same. The DEI thing is so embarrassingly bad, i can't help but suspect it's deliberate. Which begs the question: why?
