I don't get the love for this game - while the Toriyama artstyle is great, everything else about the game is incredibly generic. It's made even worse how the game forces you to go through each battle due to a lack of a run command and it uses random encounters.

Charming Dragon Ball Z visuals but I have to admit I always found the Dragon Quest games to be more shallow than the Final Fantasy games on a gameplay level.
