Duke Nukem

The main reason this game is so good is its incredible sound design, which gives import to every action--even just walking!--with glitchy bass and beeps. Then there's its stuffed-full level design, its attractive candy colouring, and its simple but rewarding gameplay. This all combines to create a game that mainlines joy into your brain. Duke Nukem is designed so well that it's still as fun now as it was then.

Ok, but not great, a bit too much of a 'where the fuck do I go' kind of game. Not as good as commander keen.
