A small resistance force, known as the Dawn Brigade, formed in response to fight back the occupational army. Led by Nolan, a seasoned fighter, Micaiah, a young girl with a gift of foresight, and backed by her friend Sothe, a young but deadly Rogue who had fought with Ike in the previous war, the brigade continuously evade Begnion's relentless pursuit, while gaining the support of Daein's crushed citizenry in the process. A big step down from PoR. Micaiah is a much blander protagonist than Ike and the new support system is awful. The game's plot is also astoundingly moronic, which is a shame given how awesome it was in PoR. Still, the game is not mechanically bad and it will challenge you (albeit, not always in a good way). I was really hyped for this back in the day, only to be massively disappointed when I finally got to play it.
