A too-forgotten NES classic. I thought it was a fascinating idea, having this enormous dungeon to explore, and a whole family of characters to choose from who all control differently, and are each best suited for a different branch of the dungeon. You could even play as the family dog, which was great for a beginner, because it has a lot of weak stats overall in exchange for taking no damage from enemies.

One of the NES's most fascinating examples of ambition outstripping the early limits of the hardware. This game's jaw-droppingly vast labyrinth absolutely puts the size of Metroid's world to shame, with more graphical variation to boot. There is so much depth and so many ideas here. It's also frustrating and consistently obtuse with slippery controls.
