Really bland and dumbed down. I missed this one until recently, and tried it after a replay of the previous games in the series: X-Men Legends 1+2 and the first MUA. Those games hold up quite well, even the visuals, but this one is just an ugly mess. Brainlessly beating things up still works though.

Dumbs down a game that was never that complex to begin with. The amount of abilities you can use is dramatically lessened, level design is even more linear than before, and the "moral choices" are a total joke. On top of that, it bases itself off of the awful Civil War storyline and manages to make it even dumber with the big TWEEST later on in the game. Hell, even the locales you go to are less interesting - mostly generic streets and prison facilities rather than specific locales like Asgard.
