Ninja Gaiden Sigma, stylized as Ninja Gaiden Σ, is an action-adventure game developed by Team Ninja for the PlayStation 3. It is an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden, originally released on Xbox in 2004, and is the second expansion to the game after Ninja Gaiden Black. The game was released in the summer of 2007 to very positive reviews. In 2012, a port for the PlayStation Vita, titled Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus was released on the same day the console launched in Europe and North America.

The opening segment is pretty great and full of iconic ninja iconography. I've played through that opening a half dozen times, but always lost interest with the game shortly thereafter once the map widens, requires a ton of backtracking, and it gets confusing where you're supposed to go

I had nostalgia for this game. In my mind it was such a cool game with quick precise controls, great graphics, and fun gameplay. While some of those things are true, my nostalgia made it seem better than it was. I got the Master Collection gifted to me and replayed this game, and honestly, the gameplay is just frustrating, and there's almost no story keeping me interested either. After dying a million times I decided to call it quits.
