Took me a while to get into its world and the gameplay loop, but it was ultimately a passable, if not entirely gripping, experience.

The game's core is sappy sentimentality which is backed by narrative scale that ends up being pointless fluff. When most of the game is this fluff, it really bogs down the experience. Even then, the drama isn't particularly impressive anyway. While there are some incredibly poignant scenes, most of the time its plot beats function off of redundant drama and the way the narrative treats its macguffin is at odds with its theming for the sake of cheap drama off of a dumb asspull of an ending.
