It’s hard for me not to enjoy a Metroidvania with smooth controls, a nice sized world to explore and collect stuff in, pretty good music etc. But something about this one does feel just a touch bare bones and through the motions - the bosses mostly seem pretty basic, and it’s hard to get excited collecting my 50th Metroidvania double jump.

The non-boss parts are too easy, though enjoyable enough, then you get to the bosses and you die in a couple of hits to an unpredictable pattern.

This game combines all of the elements you love about the first 4 games and puts them into one.
