Now THAT was a good game. They finally learnt how to make a good shovel knight game. The control mechanics are great and are a really cool mechanic to base the game around. The game is also way more balanced with better movement and clear controls. When you make a mistake it feels like your fault, not like you were bombarded with bullshit. There are still the issues of the checkpoint system though its mitigated. I didn't notice knockback being an issue either.

The movement mechanics are a lot of fun but it is a bit too easy.

Very interesting play control here, with an emphasis on these slingshot physics that feels very strange at first but you gradually master over the course of a few hours of gameplay. A worthy expansion pack to the original.
