A step up from 94 in that teams aren't pre-selected and the animations are improved, leading to better match fluidity. Admittedly my memory is pretty shaky on this title, but I remember finding the game to be really barebones and not much to my liking given I've played a number of other KOF games beforehand. Not entirely sure why, but I do think it was at least better than 94.
