The story involves the player character, who suffers from amnesia, traveling through time in an attempt to rescue Princess Scheherazade from the evil wizard Sabaron, who has summoned the demon Goragora to do his bidding. Way, way, way ahead of its time, Scheherazade has varied gameplay (adventure, RPG battles, swimming) and a sprawling world that exists in multiple timelines. It's truly a remarkable feat for a 1987 game. That doesn't make it amazing, though. The theme isn't very interesting to me nor is the story and while the gameplay is deep and wide ... it's not very fun. A game to be appreciated more than played.

Sort of an interesting ambitious mess, featuring a time travel mechanic a little before the likes of Link to the Past and Chrono Trigger got there.
