There really should be two entries, as the 1971 game Oregon played differently. This rating for the iconic, classroom staple we all know and love. Only held back for being so short, but a legend of edutainment.

Some of the behind-the-scenes systems seem a little obscure (you have died of dysentery) but this is a classic title for being very innovative and setting the foundation for the RPG genre.
