Shooter
Gameplay in The Punisher offers a combination of exploration, stealth and combat. When encountering an enemy, the Punisher can attack, or perform a one-button "quick kill". Depending on the villain, the current location, and a player-determined level of aggression, one of numerous fatal assaults will be performed. The game's environments also feature interrogation "hot spots", where the Punisher can interrogate his enemies. (wikipedia.org)

Dual wielding shotguns, killing thugs by feeding them to piranhas, impaling them with broken windows, or cremating them in a funeral home's oven, and of course, hanging baddies upside down off fire escapes and shaking the change out of their pockets. This is honestly one of my favorite games and I've re-played it too many times to count. A damn shame it never got a sequel.

A really nice hidden gem that is slowly gathering a cult following. Though the "interrogation" mechanics leave a lot to be desired, it's still a clever twist in the formula and one that hasn't been properly replicated ever since.

Nails the character completely but it's also a product of its time. Cool torturing mechanic. Repetitive level design and precision aiming that feels incredibly awkward by the standards of today. It's like a stiffer Max Payne generally. I know it's unfair to criticize a game based on standards years later, but I did enjoy this. I just wish I would have played it back in the day. Would love to see a remake of this.
