The Surge

An excellent soulslike; I actually enjoyed it more than most of the Dark Souls games. The labyrinthine and highly interconnected maps are the game's standout feature, but I also liked the character building, the combat, and most of the bosses. Aiming at body parts is a simple gimmick that does a good job at spicing up the gameplay loop. The game is quite short, but I prefer short games; my main complaints are that certain enemies feel a bit overtuned, and the game is actually too dark in places.
