Tomb Raider: Legend

A venerable series desperately in need of a refresh at the time gets one, in a quick but spiffy installment that brought the look and feel to then-current standards. The traversal and puzzles may breeze by in noticeably linear fashion without much effort, but they're there, they're fun, and they're in some great and varied set dressing. Also in keeping with series tradition, a bit of combat is there, and not especially noteworthy.

In 2006 there shouldn't have been any more 'one missed jump sends you back to the checkpoint' in games.

Good fun, very enjoyable.
