The lazy (but correct) comparison is F.E.A.R. because it looks and feels like it. I'm completely okay with that because the action is satisfying, and I like the occasional corridor shooter. However, it doesn't have what really made F.E.A.R. special, the psychological terror. That was a fucking scary game. This has a few little moments but once I learned that it neglects that aspect, I realized that this is just a solid shooter. Definitely play it, but temper expectations.
