Simple but wackily presented rapid-fire minigame collections like this had been popular in Japanese arcades for a long time, but Nintendo really did a fine job adding the variety and polish needed to make this a genre that would work as a handheld game people would actually want to come back to, with plenty of variety, charming presentation, and variable difficulty (though I wonder how many people stuck around for the hardest versions of everything). Also, the Fly Swatter game from Mario Paint.

A good idea for a party game (though I'm pretty sure BishiBashi did it first). Take Mario Party, throw away the board game part, and ramp up the tempo. Hyperactive party fun that's good for a quick laugh and warmup before you move on to Smash for the night.

The concept of a stream of rapid fire microgames is pretty unique and it's well-executed with a lot of variety, even though all the microgames only use the A button and the directional buttons. There's no filler in the main story and the cutscenes before and after every stage are neat. This really set a very solid baseline for the entire WarioWare series. My only complaints are that a few microgames are too similar, and in a few of them the controls aren't very intuitive.

Great game. You are doing challenges here as fast as you can. So just memorize and be quick with your hand eye coordination.
