|75 63%||Assassin's Creed Odyssey (2018) - Dec 15, 2020
"An expansion of the previous well-balanced reboot, that crams in tons and tons of side quests and expands on the RPG lite mechanics, making it less focused, but if you're like me and only get to play once in a while, the eclectic nature of the game worked well enough. It leaned a bit too heavily into mythology and AC-lore for my likings, but a fun, sprawling adventure none the less."
|50 17%||Civilization Revolution (2008) - Feb 26, 2018
"Manages to take out most of the fun of the original game in order to make it playable with a controller... good job, Firaxis."
|75 63%||Assassin's Creed: Revelations (2011) - Feb 26, 2018
"Not on par with the previous two episodes, especially due to the somewhat unstructured way the narrative unfolds, but Constantinople is a beautifully realized game world, and the game does serve as a nice final chapter for Ezio, one of my all-time favorite protagonists."
|85 87%||Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (2010) - Feb 26, 2018
"Picking up literally minutes after AC2 ended, this sequel, though smaller in scale, managed to improve on most gameplay aspects of the already great predecessor, and the addition of multiplayer was fresh and unique until everyone but me got ridiculously good at it."
|70 50%||Assassin's Creed: Unity (2014) - Feb 23, 2018
"Though not the train wreck it's made out to be (on PS4 at least), AC:U, gorgeous and ambitious that it may be, still suffers greatly from the insane amount of side activities being an un-curated mess, and though actually really well-written, the game's lack of narrative engagement with the historically rich setting seems like a missed opportunity to say the least; something which is emphasized if you juxtapose it with string of brilliant dramatic cinematic trailers released before the game."
|80 79%||Scene It? Bright Lights! Big Screen! (2009) - Feb 23, 2018
"As a film nerd how can you anything but love this game. Especially the 8 bit recreations of classic scenes."
|100 97%||Civilization III (2001) - Feb 23, 2018
"Perhaps not such a big push forward (besides the upgraded graphics) but still an addictive addition to the series. "
|65 41%||Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness (1995) - Feb 23, 2018
""'Join the army, they said. 'See the world, they said. I'd rather be sailing.""
|60 31%||Assassin's Creed III (2012) - Feb 23, 2018
"After the three great titles about Ezio, this (at the time, presumably) final chapter felt extremely underwhelming, rushed and filled with frustrating missions, poorly presented narrative and a general lack of excitement But as always in this series though, the world building is impeccable, even if colonial America isn't as intersting as previous settings (for me at least), and they did add the sailing mechanics that was used (much better) in the sequel."
|70 50%||Super Mario Bros. (1985) - Feb 23, 2018|
