A short but tense experience. The main gameplay loop is great, and it felt good to have my decisions pay off with the knowledge that there were alternative approaches. The final stretch didn't do it for me. Top-quality sound design.

This was originally meant to be DLC to the previous game and you can really tell that this was not initially intended to be a standalone game. It’s short, completely lacks monster variety, very little new lore is established and it easily has the least impressive level design of all the games in the series. It almost entirely lacks the sprawling dizzying and otherworldly nature of other games by Frictional Games and feels like the most generic thing they’ve ever released

The most nerve wracking experience in gaming, 10 hours of wandering in dark tunnels, getting lost, fighting huge vicious rats, dodging traps, creeping along in silence, hiding in closets and shadows, freaking out when a floorboard squeaks, running full tilt with your heart clawing it's way out of your chest and DYING gruesome death after gruesome death over and over again. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Dropped. Good grafix. Intro laggy. Reloading takes forever. Darkness is more of an inconvenience & hinderance to the experience. The outside tutorial for brick breaking doors wasn't intuitive/explicit enuff. Because inside the bunker w/ a flashlight on, the doors looks new & solid, and bricks are far away. Like aliens isolation, this is a trial & error game. You will die and repeat A LOT => the monster becomes pain in the ass. Incentivize extreme slow gameplay. Which doesn't sound fun to me.
