Goes from "ooo the bat mobile" to "Oh ... the batmobile"

Gameplay is great but the story is lackluster and the batmobile should not have been a thing.

Diminishing returns, an over-reliance on the clunky batmobile, a predictable story, and a bad case of an open-world needing to give the player a thousand things to do at once badly interfere with the tight gameplay. Batman deserved to go out on a higher note than this.

Rocksteady’s finale to the Arkham saga is a flawless marriage of brutal combat, detective brilliance, and Gotham’s rain-soaked grandeur. The Batmobile—controversial but thrilling—adds tank battles and high-speed chases, while the Knight’s identity twist lands with emotional gut-punches. Freeflow combat peaks here, and the Riddler’s insanity (finally, a real boss fight!) caps the trilogy perfectly.

I think the storytelling is top notch, as is the hand to hand combat, and the visual still look good, even if they were already dated at release (the darkness and rain cover up otherwise poor materials and lighting, more noticeable indoors). The batmobile sections are hit and miss. Driving the batmobile feels incredible, and the combat actually feels great, there's just WAY too much of it forced. That brings my score down very slightly, but it's still a great game.

Great story but the game is torturing player on some occasions. Some tasks/levels are extremely hard and hardness doesn't come from difficulty. Sometimes you finish 5 steps of a task and when you fail on 6th and the last it pushes you to the beginning.

This is a fantastic game that is a brilliant conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. Though it doesn't quite hit the story high that Arkham City did, it is still a fantastic game with plenty to do, a quality story and amazing presentation. There are some flaws though especially the tank battles and the use of the batmobile. They are not that bad but there is just far too many. If you havent played it, you owe it to yourself to play all three of these amazing games. Plat difficulty - 5/10.

Improves on the concept of Arkham Asylum. Plenty to do and combat is stacks of fun.

Enjoyable, but if I wanted to play a wonky racing game I would have played one instead of Batman X_X . I'm not the biggest fan of either ending but that's subjective. Combat is the best of the first three games, I like a lot of the new mechanics, and I like the challenges, just not the racing stuff.

No boss fights! Excessive usage of Batmobile, terrible riddler challenge ideas. Very bad facial designs compare to Arkham City. The worst part is the plot and the story. Doesn't make sense at all. The only good part about it its visuals and graphics. It looks fantastic even now (2021). Also, open worlds feel surely open. The gameplay had some downs but generally it feels good. But again, this game is a dissapointment from top to the bottom !

nice story & collectives, side quests are pretty good but are a bit repetitive

The general Gameplay is intact and as much fun as it used to be, but the car nonsense put a serious dent in my enjoyment.

When I sat down with Arkham Knight, I just wanted it to give me a glimpse of the magic that the first game drenched me in, and was mostly absent from its last two sequels. Knight surprised me by not only turning me into a big kid again, literally giggling at the TV every time I did something super Batman-esque, but by its technical prowess. I still think it’s the first real next generation game with its beautiful graphics, smooth gameplay, and very minimal loading screens.

It's a Batman Arkham game so it's still great but the story just isn't as interesting and the new Batmobile mechanic is sub-par (ok the driving is kind of fun). But fighting and sneaking as Batman is as enjoyable as it ever was.

Not as good as Asylum I thought.

A great game with one major flaw where too much gameplay revolves around tank battles. These would have been fine as series of optional missions, but they are frequent and integral to progress. Aside from that, the core gameplay is exceptional as you would expect, with the combat system as good as ever and stealth challenging and rewarding. Racing around in the Batmobile is fun, but those tank battles, especially the stealth ones ... my god! ... :(

Deeply flawed but I still think it's a great game, just not up to par with the others in the series. The tank combat could have been a neat addition but they leaned on it way too much. Later in the game when Batman is just like, "Don't worry I got another" and drops in a tank... that's awesome. Batmobile is fun! Story is fine, everything still works as intended. It suffered on a technical level but honestly I just turned down my settings and I was mostly fine.

The best Arkham game I SAID IT FIGHT ME. Jonathan Banks is bizarrely bad as Gordon though.
