I'd call this a "power fantasy" music game, because it's really only compatible with certain types of music. If you want to play anything slow or quiet, you will ironically have a very stressful, difficult time. But if you play loud intense metal or electronic music, your ship is extremely powerful and every level will be a cakewalk.
