Has a very tall meta-requirement. The in-game rules changes mean that everyone at the table needs to be a board game person. Not casual friendly at all, but also not especially complicated (at least not at the core mechanical level). That being said, when you have the right people, Betrayal is a damn fun semi-cooperative game with theme to spare.
