Blaster Master

Pretty fun, but ugly and more difficult/unforgiving than it seems at first. Unforgiving in that NES way.

Something of a standout for the exploratory action-adventure genre when it came out. The top down sections are not nearly as good as the side-scrolling parts (though it's best to treat them as a cautious little puzzle to avoid everything and hang on to the gun upgrades), and the lack of a mapping or save/password system will quickly illustrate why this genre was so quick to embrace those features. Still, an impressive design despite its dated elements.

a Classic platforming exploration shoot em up that still has a fun engaging gameplay as well as an enjoyable soundtrack. a bit dated but still would pop it in for some good times

An interesting mix of side-scrolling vehicle driving and top down dungeon exploration. A good degree of challenge without being impossible. I liked it, though for story elements it was pretty weak.

An NES shooter with a bit more depth and ambition than many of its contemporaries, and a catchy, memorable soundtrack.
