Call of Duty: Black Ops

2010
Action, Horror
Call of Duty: Black Ops is the seventh main Call of Duty game and the sequel to Call of Duty: World at War. The game differs from most previous installments, which would involve a usual three-country campaign, while Call of Duty: Black Ops features two playable countries (Russia and the USA) but only has an American campaign. Several new features are also introduced, such as dive-to-prone and the available use of a flashlight on certain weapons.

I really liked this Call of duty game. The story and the violence in this one is what stood out when I played this one. Excellent Call of duty. Probably the black ops series in the best for these games.

The campaign is an absolute chore to get through and the zombies mode is pretty rough around the edges. However, this is still an easy recommend for me as the multiplayer is fantastic. It refines certain elements of Modern Warfare 2, reworks the killstreaks, and adds the wager matches which make the multiplayer layered and interesting no matter what you choose to do.

Definitely the video game I was best at of all games in the modern area. Perfect balance of fun/quick pace and realism. It's a hard balance to get right, and I don't think it's been done better before or since.

One of the last Call of Duty games I played, got bored pretty quickly.

I liked the single-player campaign because it ties to the other Call of Duty games very nicely. It was an improvement on Modern Warfare 2 (multiplayer) in the places that it mattered. I really think this was the pinnacle of the Call of Duty franchise, and that it was all downhill from here. Also, that one character looks a lot like Ben Stiller.
