Pretty underrated. The enemies are way too damage spongey and the game has very braindead encounter design where they'll recycle waves of the same enemies at you constantly. But you know, I actually like how the game feels to play where teleporting has a unique place in how you avoid damage and your weapons have versatile utility that you're prompted to make consistent use of. 10 years ago I would have hated this game's humor but nowadays it's so novel and insane I got a soft spot for it.

I think it's mostly enjoyable. Nolan North as Deadpool in particular is fantastic, and the writing of the character is pretty good. The story is obviously nothing special, but the story is not too important. The gameplay can be fun when you upgrade everything, but sometimes the enemies can become a little overwhelming, even when you have a lot of upgrades. In the end I thought it could have been a few hours longer, but sometimes it's nice having a short game.

Terrible gameplay and levels. And not enough creativity. The tone and voice-acting are ok. But very forgettable one.

The story and jokes it includes are totally Deadpool and fun, so fine for that. The gameplay on the other hand... it's not that bad but can be a bit discouraging at times.

It's not great from a gameplay perspective but the Deadpool charm makes this immensely entertaining. A shame that there isn't a much better game underneath the surface.

A great rental and a terrible, terrible purchase.
