An absolute classic char-action game. Level progression and design is slightly dated, but the combat mechanics are stellar and still hold up today.

This game is tons of fun. Tightly made with perfect difficulty and glorious uber-cheesy/over the top cutscenes and for once a lot of the craziness your character does in cutscenes, you can actually do in the game

The epitome of good action games. DMC3 has fuck loads of personality while also being one of the most mechanically refined games in the genre. It's rather pleasant to think that a series that hit the bottom of the barrel in its last game would come back to create a game that would define an entire genre. The only thing the game is missing is on the fly style switching (which can be modded) and the enemy/level design is a bit bland, but that doesn't diminish the game's depth and overall quality.
