The battle system is actually quite fun and engaging, shame it's wasted on an inane story that existed solely to cash in on FFX's popularity.

Boasts one of the most asinine plots I've seen in a game supplemented with gaudy as hell costumes, but the class change system is a neat idea and the plot is cheesy enough to be funny and entertaining. While nothing about the game particularly impressed me, I'd be lying if I wasn't entertained by it.

Storywise is quite dissapointing, specially when it uses previously known characters in such a different way. Yet it has its moments (it's a bit stupid but not completely boring at least) and part of the story inside the story (something from the past) was actually quite interesting. It also has one of the best battle systems in the FF series, improving the one previously only used in FFV making it more complex. I would actually recommend it just for that.

The unRPGfication of Final Fantasy began here.
