Friday the 13th: The Game

Poorly balanced, in need of tweaking and the developers took the money and ran.

I played what felt like 30 games waiting to be Jason, than I was Jason and I felt like I wasted all that time. It's not a poorly designed game it's just that we have to remove asymmetrical multiplayer from the landscape because I've never played one that felt like it worked the way it should.

The first few weeks of this game's release was some of the best multiplayer experiences ever with friends. They patched all the fun stuff out (team killing lol) and kept making it worse. Score is just for those first few delicious weeks. Resorting to getting the car first and killing all the counsellors before Jason could lolo

This worked really well because Illfonic committed to everything that made the Friday the 13th atmosphere what it was: frenzied teens! Laughably exaggerated murders! Spooky synth music! But more so, the game is really well designed. The objectives for the counselors are varied and great, and how they're approached are always unique from match to match, players to players. And Jason is both appropriately OP and difficult to master. Tiny ideas for balance feel natural to gameplay. Just really fun.
