70 for original, 80 for anniversary = 75. Original multiplayer 0, clunky, messed up audio. Anniversary multiplayer 80.

Halo 2 is a worthy, action-packed sequel to a genre classic, one that in some ways transcends its predecessor.

The remastered version adds a substantial amount to the story and its graphics are an improvement, unlike the Halo 1 anniversary. Halo 2 I rate higher because it is the only Halo game with a substantial story. The multiplayer is also one of the most impactful in gaming history.

I had only ever played the first Halo on PC back in the day, was never an Xbox person. Now that I finally have an Xbox Series X, I have the whole back catalogue of Halo (and Gears of War) games to make my way through. Played the Master Chief collection version of this and had a blast up until the last couple of levels that felt like a slog to get through, I didn't enjoy fighting the Brutes. Dual wielding is lots of fun, I heard it disappears from the series at a certain point, unfortunately

My favorite Halo game to date. The single player is kind of genius, despite some flaws, splitting between the bombastic Master Chief and the melancholic Arbiter. The thing that elevates this is the multiplayer, which is still phenomenal. Taking the approach of nothing is overpowered if everything is, the guns pack a hell of a punch and all the other weapons are so much fun to play with as well.

Can't distinguish this one from the first in my memory, but neither of them entertained me.

So, this is my favorite game of all time. No other game has given me so much joy. This is when I really fell in love with the franchise, with its lore, with its story. Splitting between Chief and Arbiter gained us access to a side of the story that I didn't know was so lacking in Halo before this game. And the multiplayer is still kingly in my books. When the MCC came out, Halo 2 was my mainstay. I could write an essay gushing over this game, but instead I'll just say: play it.

Singleplayer is alright but that multiplayer is amazing.

My main memory of this is my friend frequently yelling "Ich habe das geflaggen!" in CTF because we didn't like our German lessons.

One of the weaker Halo entries, despite some of its best multiplayer moments.

I didn't like having to play as anything other than Master Chief, and I hated the humanizing of the Covenant. This game had a slightly better multi-player experience than the first, but a much worse campaign. The gains in multiplayer just could not make up for disappointing campaign, so this game is a slightly weaker entry in the series than the first game.

This was the first FPS that I got seriously into, really just by virtue of circumstance and timing. The energy sword was my jam. I also really enjoyed the no fall damage aspect that allowed for lots of creative strategy on some of the maps.
