The game doesn't quite capture the scale or crude, offensive nature of early internet but everything else about it is incredibly accurate. While a bit overly cryptic sometimes, the investigative elements are really damn clever with plenty of solutions functioning around studying specific elements of its fictional internet and messing around with various programs. The way the internet evolves with time and by your actions is also enthralling, with genuinely depressing narratives playing out.
