Jak 3

This is where the series started to really decline in quality. Jak 2's plot was dumb, but Jak 3 somehow tops that with even dumber TWEESTS. The game is far more pampered by dumb mini-games than Jak 2 and driving through the desert was a far bigger chore than driving through the city. The new light/dark powers feel trivial and pointless, I also thought the boss battles were generally much shittier. Still, as a Jak game, it has qualities that make Jak great despite being the worst of the trilogy.

An improvement over the second game in pretty much every way. The driving missions still suck but the dune buggies are much easier to control than the hover cars, and the game overall has a higher focus on platforming.

The best Jak game as it somehow managed to turn the slight mess that was Jak 2 into a more refined experience. The dune buggies have solid driving mechanics and the platforming is even better here.
