Adventure, Survival
The player pilots a boat across the sea, randomly encountering groups of hostile sea creatures. Occasionally, Jaws will appear on the map in the form of its familiar dorsal fin breaking the water's surface. If players collide with Jaws' dorsal fin, they can momentarily control their boat in the side-view encounter in an attempt to attack Jaws with depth charges. (Wikipedia)

Perfectly captures that part in Jaws when Roy Scheider throws 387 spears underwater at the shark

Well, it's got some unusual ideas, as far as how you need to wander around the map leveling up for a bit, but ultimately you're just spending most of the time grinding at a really boring and basic shooter.

Ah, Jaws. You sail around, collect shells, bother jellyfish, take on little not-Jaws sharks, just so you can take on the big one himself. Very repetitive, but there is something to having the tracker on and you suddenly hear 'hhh-pa ... hhh-pa ... hhh-pa ... hhh-pa hhh-pahhhpa!' Because you know it's Jaws. Not awful, but not good.

Tries a few marginally interesting things in its quest to depict an 8-bit seafaring adventure, but the execution is wanting, like most LJN games.
