King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow

+10 bonus points for childhood memories.

Probably the best of the King's Quest games. A wide variety of ways you can finish the game, a great mix of tones from the whimsy and fairy tale fun of the Alice in Wonderland/Beauty and the Beast-themed areas to the more dark horror of the minotaur's maze and Realm of the Dead. Exploration is deemphasized but the storytelling and puzzles make up for it. The music really takes a leap forward here too from the rest of the series.

Well we went 5 games before point and click took my text commands from my fat sweaty hands.
