Is it bad? No, not at all. There's just something missing, and it feels like a Mega Man, Jr. edition (despite being tough). The English voice acting in the cut scenes shows just how little love the mothership Mega Man series was getting from its publisher at this point, and that lack of care or love is contagious.

Step backwards for the series, 7 was making a move in a more balanced direction, with more sensible game design that appeared around that era, unfortunately this one didn't get the hint and moved back to the bullet hell, cheap game design era of the NES.

Gotta hate that Dr. Wiwee.

Struggled to get through this one, the Mega Man formula run pretty thoroughly dry before being revived over a decade later with the far superior Mega Man 9.
