Moonlighter

Nothing in this game stands out in a significant way. The meta progression that takes place in the town section makes it a novel concept, but not enough to carry the game. The dungeon crawling is serviceable but pales in comparison to it's competition. Care was obviously put into this, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to hold my attention. It just barely fails to be worth playing.

The concept is really clever, but I didn't find any aspect of the game to be particularly well executed. The dungeon gameplay is a clunkier version of dozens of roguelikes/lites and the shop gameplay is shallow and a little obtuse. Good idea, sub-par implementation.

The core flow of the game is plateau(stuck) at current dungeon. Grind mini bosses for item drops so you can craft better equips then finally kill dungeon boss. Rinse and repeat. Upgrading is fun, but the grinding process becomes a chore and not fun at all. Really disappointed with the story.

Too much grind and shopkeeping part could be better. Still finished it and had fun.
