Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

One of the sloppiest fighters I've ever played. Has loads of Kontent, but none of it is good. The Kore Kombat is an absolute mess made even worse by Kreate a fighter. The Kombo system is awful - doing air Kombos has no weight or momentum, hitboxes are buggy as hell, and mekhanically every attack feels really stiff. Even the fatalities got butchered with the bland "kreate a fatality" system. Despite some dekent presentation, this game was Konsidered awful even by the standards of MK fans.

The opening cinematic is one of the coolest PS2 cutscenes, hands down. The campaign is almost cool, but they stuck you with the blandest character in the first franchise and playing as just one dude the whole time is boring when you've got such a huge roster of characters.

The story mode was a fun idea, but they dropped the ball on so many elements. No signature fatalities, (and of course none of the other finishers) which is the whole way the series made a name for itself, garbage endings, weak story material, and overall samey characters. If they could have just addressed those problems, this had so much potential to be the be-all end-all Mortal Kombat game. Thankfully, the series would be fun again by #9
