I like a lot of what it does in presentation but it's a game that's painfully unsubtle and obnoxiously overbearing about its themes. I did not like how its plot beats all function in service of one character's narrative arc which makes certain plot beats; particularly the Anya twist, feel like padding than a meaningful exploration of these specific traumas. It also has a tendency to pull the same visual tricks all the time that eventually overstay its welcome and ultimately become underwhelming.
