Outlast 2

The screen is so dark you won't even realize half of the people in this have their wieners out.

This sequel cranks up the gore and psychological horror, but stumbles with uneven pacing and frustrating trial-and-error gameplay.

The stealth/running gameplay loop isn't my cup of tea, but there's some great atmosphere and the setting's backstory is interesting. Cracking soundtrack for some of the enemy sequences too.

Hiding in a cornfield and peering around in night vision while insane hillbillies hunted for me with sickles is a great gaming-memory. I was able to get so immersed in this and really imagine I was in the situation, few games have been so tense. Maybe I'm in the minority but I do find crazy rednecks more threatening than a huge mental-hospital patient.
