The style and vibes are immaculate (and it pulls from worthwhile sources of inspiration too) but the pacing misses the mark badly and the narrative never comes together in a satisfying way before cutting itself off abruptly at what honestly feels like should be the break into act two rather than the ending — kind of feels like they just got sick of making the game and hit the eject button prematurely.
