Not as good a story as the first game, but I felt like this is the one where the cases really came together as something exciting and special.

they really went all in on the femme fatale plot on this one, huh? even though the first four cases are on roughly the same level as those of the first two games, those ones both ended on a high note with their final case, whereas i didn't really like this one at all. very convoluted, tries to connect twelve different narrative threads at once, questionable characterisation.

I think this game had the best storytelling of the trilogy, with just about all of the stories weaving together in a really cool way. I think these three games work really well on their own. I don't know if I have the patience to go through any more of the games, and from what I gather it doesn't seem like most of them would hold up to the original trilogy, so I'm thinking I might just end it here, just as the anime did.
