Quest for Glory III: Wages of War

I still like this one, although it's undeniably below the standard of the other four. You can tell it wasn't part of the original plan for the series. However, the art is gorgeous, and there are still good story beats, and the traditional grand ending (the Mirror Room is one of my favorite scenes in gaming). Much of the game drags, though. Too much empty wandering with little to do.

I was super into this game as a kid, with a particular taste for playing as the mage, who seemed to have more specially tailored quests and subplots in this game compared to the fighter and thief. You see a lot of medieval fantasy works set in pseudo-Europe and sometimes pseudo-Asia or Arabian nights, but this is one of the only medieval fantasy works set in a psuedo-Africa. Very interesting, really mixes the vibe up.
