If I rated games on potential, this would have 100. However, it's let down by a bunch of stuff. Maybe the biggest is fighting is tedious, and there's a lot of it. The quests also require a lot of scrolling through text, and you often don't know if there's even a quest at the end of it. It's also unclear where these quests will lead. The quests are also often boring fetch quests. Next, its often unclear where to go to complete the quests. In the end, I just preferred to attack the characters.

Piranha Bytes' last good game, and the closest they came to an unofficial Gothic sequel. As I recall, it bombed because the game world was too big for consoles, causing all sorts of problems for their new target audience. They fixed that in the sequel by making the world level based and dumbing everything down.
