Rock Band 3 is a 2010 music video game developed by Harmonix. The game was initially published and distributed by MTV Games and Electronic Arts, respectively, in late October 2010. It is the third main game in the Rock Band series. As with the previous titles, Rock Band 3 allows players to simulate the playing of rock music and many other subgenres using special instrument controllers mimicking lead and bass guitar, drums, and vocals. I never cared much for the keyboard, and especially not the "pro" guitar or anything. I'm also overall less interested in this song list than RB2's, though there's still plenty of good stuff. In the end, it's more Rock Band, and the song importing and DLC compatibility made the exact game you're playing not matter too much.

A major step back for those who enjoyed the World Tour mode in 1 and 2, the tours in this feel far more lifeless and lacking in personality and it robs the game of a lot of its sense of progression. That said, the skills challenges are a fantastic addition that add tension to every set and add a new dimension for seasoned veterans.
