Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows is the second campaign of Shovel Knight and an alternate story to Shovel of Hope. It stars the mad alchemist Plague Knight in his quest to craft the Serum Supernus, the Ultimate Potion, from the Essences of his fellow knights of the Order of No Quarter. Even worse than the original because it has all the flaws of that, the poor checkpoint system, the knockback and slow movement, except it restricts you even more by only allowing you to shoot more or less straight down, except you can't fly, you get a very paltry double-jump and a tedious charge-up jump which prevents you from moving when in the air. And the second boss is absolutely ridiculous. I passed after the third level.
