Sid Meier's Pirates!

A unique and captivating title. The concept at its core is simple: live the pirates life (hence the name of the remake). You sail, you shoot cannons, you board, you swordfight, you recruit, you take stuff, you sell stuff, you hunt for treasure. Each element is fairly simple, and there will come a point you tire of the minigames. But boy is it fun in the meanwhile!

Mostly a mish mash of boring, one-dimensional mini-games mixed with mindless money management. Ship battles are a joke because it's far too easy to just ram into the enemy ship and win with a brainless sword fighting mini-game. This is about 90% of what you do, and it gets tiring pretty quickly. The game does have other things like the simon says dancing mini-game and the Civ like ground combat but these prove to be more nauseating than enthralling.
